Kasperl invites you on a tour through the Augsburg Puppet Theatre. The journey begins at “Die Kiste,” the Augsburg Puppet Theatre Museum, where Jim Button, Urmel, and friends welcome us in their familiar setting and timeless charm. Here, we learn how it all began. During a performance of The Robber Hotzenplotz, we go behind the scenes and watch the puppeteers’ skilled hands at work. Afterwards, newly edited and re-narrated material from the 1991 program Backstage offers an in-depth look at the making of the television productions.
