Maupinfest
Every fall, an annual tradition of old-time music and dance takes the stage in the scenic backroad community of Rover, Tennessee. Making the pilgrimage are bands from Tennessee and neighboring states, devoted to playing old-time music with traditional instruments like fiddles and banjos, and their own homemade odd additions. Joining these unique musicians are fleet-of-feet artists from America near and far, dedicated to the preservation of buck dancing and flat foot dancing. Highlighting this day of history and fun is world class dancer, Thomas Maupin, inspiration of the event and documentary, MAUPINFEST.
